Sprints is an Irish band from Dublin that has been enriching the post-punk scene since 2019 with an explosive mix of garage punk, alternative rock, and grunge. Their music is characterized by raw energy and a variety of facets – from thoughtful and melodic to disharmonious and provocative. The band, consisting of singer Karla Chubb, guitarist Colm O'Reilly, drummer Jack Callan, and bassist Sam McCann, originally started out as an indie folk band before finding their distinctive post-punk sound in 2019. Their lyrics expose social injustices and political grievances, which is particularly evident in their EP “Manifesto,” which addresses the 2018 Irish abortion referendum. In 2024, they released their debut album “Letter To Self,” which represents an important milestone in their career despite the departure of Colm O'Reilly, and after a transitional period, they continued their tour with Zac Stephenson as their new guitarist.
