La Dispute is a post-hardcore band that has been known in the music scene since its formation in 2004 for its emotional intensity and unique blend of spoken-word storytelling and powerful guitar sounds. The band, consisting of frontman Jordan Dreyer, guitarist Brad Vander Lugt, and other members, tackles profound, often personal themes such as relationship pain, existential questions, and strokes of fate in their lyrics. Their debut album Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River Between Vega And Altair (2008) brought them initial international recognition, but it was 2011's Wildlife that marked their artistic peak and established them as one of the most distinctive bands in the post-hardcore genre.
