With their fifth studio album "Maniac", the Munich-based band Marathonmann has created a new sound backdrop that combines synth-rock elements with post-punk and is reminiscent of the 80s. The band has maintained its own style, encountering a combination of old and new sounds, which it now pursues more tenaciously. The production of the album was assisted by Beray Habip and Nicki Frenking. The lyrics are about love, memories and dealing with the madness that surrounds us. The band members are fascinated by the aesthetics and culture of the 80s and have been inspired by these elements.
