You don't have to send tickets back and forth with this option, your current ticket will be activated by us for DEICHBRAND 2021 after you have chosen this ticket exchange, so keep your ticket safe until next year!

What do you get out of it?!

Everything remains the same for you as this year at exactly the same price. There will be no VVK fees, no postage and no further stress.You will also get the DEICHBRAND AT HOME 2020 shirt in black or white for 0 Euro on top! Only with this conversion you will have a ticket for 2021 in your pocket for the same price as this year. So it is the safest and cheapest way to get a ticket for #deichbrand2021. Pure anticipation as long as never before! Every day you can see the ticket on your fridge and look forward to the festival summer 2021. With this option you support culture in general and of course your festival at the North Sea in particular. Furthermore you help the festival region Cuxhaven, our festival crew, colleagues, freelancers, service providers and of course artists! These are all arguments to secure your festival ticket for 2021 right here and now!

The second option is a voucher for the value of the amount paid in 2020, including the sales promotion fees. This voucher is valid until 31.12.2021 and can be redeemed for all ticket products and camping options as well as in the merchandising tent on the festival grounds and probably also in our DEICHBRAND shop. So you can redeem the voucher e.g. for DEICHBRAND 2021 or later for DEICHBRAND 2022.

Notes on option 2!

If you don't know yet if you can come to #deichbrand2021 or if grandma's birthday is coming up, you can use the voucher for #deichbrand2022. If all this does not work out until 31.12.2021, you can get the value of the voucher fully refunded. Please get in touch with us from 01.01.2022 on. As with option 1, you will get the full price back, but you have to send in your tickets. Also with this second option you support the culture as a whole and of course us in these difficult times. You also help the festival region Cuxhaven, our festival crew, colleagues, freelancers, service providers and of course the artists! Please note: When making your decision, keep in mind that a new ticket for 2021 in the regular advance sale might be more expensive than the previous ticket for 2020. So if you want to go to #deichbrand2021 later on, you might have to pay more for a ticket than if you just converted your ticket. There will also be additional postage and possibly additional sales charges. Furthermore, there is no unique DEICHBRAND AT HOME 2020 shirt when you convert your ticket into a voucher. So if you don't know yet if you can come to the festival in 2021, option 2 is a good way to support us. A 1:1 exchange without stress is only possible with option 1.

We have voluntarily prepared a third option. If the Corona Crisis has hit you hard and you might need the money, we also offer you the possibility of a refund. If you can't afford to support a festival, we don't want to force you to do so, even if the reimbursement hurts. For this refund option we keep 15 Euro per festival ticket as a donation for Viva con Agua and forward it directly to our longtime partner. Because without the festival summer, things don't look so good for our friends either. So the advantage of a full refund is only available in option 1 and 2. Only if you exchange your ticket directly for 2021, the DEICHBRAND AT HOME 2020 shirt will be included for free and there will be no further costs such as postage or new sales fees for future purchases.

You're still unsure? We want to play with our cards on the table and show you our current position. A festival is an experience that is always planned months or even years in advance. So is the DEICHBRAND Festival. Besides our core team, there are many service providers, partners and our festival crew working on the organisation of one of the biggest festivals in the country. Of course, this involves very high costs, which are usually covered by ticket income, sponsorship contracts or income from drinks and food at the festival. In addition, the artists' salaries are increasing more and more and of course the costs in general are getting higher and higher in all areas. In principle we always try to cushion these cost increases and not to pass them on to you. Since the festival has to be cancelled this year, we want to come back even more in 2021 and offer you an incomparable festival despite the setback. To make this happen, we are dependent on your help. Therefore we recommend you to exchange your ticket directly for 2021, to pick up the strictly limited and uniquely available line-up shirt 2020 and to celebrate an incomparable festival at the North Sea together with us next year! This way we can plan together, book bands, support service providers, crew and local residents and continue where we left off. Furthermore you can be sure to get a ticket for #deichbrand2021 and you can already increase your anticipation. Last tip: 2021 also has many new highlights waiting for you, stay tuned! If you're still unsure or you already know that you definitely won't have time in 2021, you can choose option 2 to support us and decide until the end of next year whether you want to exchange your ticket for a festival ticket or get your money back. Of course we also understand that in the current worldwide crisis there are hardship cases which are now dependent on every cent. Therefore, these people can of course receive their order value with deduction of a return handling fee.

For the conversion we have set up a ticket platform for you. Here you can indicate your option and convert your order from 02.06.2020 to 19.06.2020.

There will be no automatic conversion. You must proactively tell us which option you choose by filling out the form. For this purpose we will contact all ticket buyers by email and provide them with a link to the ticket platform.

Please note that only if you choose option 1 you are entitled to the corresponding products for 2021 at no additional cost. The prices for the regular advance sale for the DEICHBRAND Festival 2021 may be higher under certain circumstances.

A voucher (option 2) or payment (option 3) does not entitle you to advance sales of tickets, camping options or merchandise.

Only if you decide to exchange your tickets (option 1) now, you will have your ticket for 2021 for sure!

Please consider your decision carefully, as subsequent changes are not possible. If you choose option 1 and receive the 2020 shirt, please consider the colour and size you choose. A later change or exchange is also not possible.

The DEICHBRAND Festival 2021 will take place from July 15th - 18th, 2021 at the seaport of Cuxhaven/Nordholz. An early arrival will be possible already on Wednesday, July 14th. Departure is possible until Monday, July 19, 12.00 noon.

The official advance booking is expected to start on 01 June 2020. Ticket and camping options will remain the same as in 2020, but prices may vary. Subscribe to our newsletter to be always up to date!

I have bought several different tickets in one order. Do I have to choose the same option for all the tickets I am processing or can I choose different options?

You can choose option 1, 2 or 3 for each product individually via our ticket platform. However, you should make sure that you process all tickets with the same option in one process and then start a new process if a different option is selected for other tickets. You can start as many processes as you have tickets.


When will the ticket platform go online and where can I find it?

We will inform all ticket buyers by mail from 02.06.2020 onwards. The platform will also be online here on 02.06.2020.


I bought my tickets at Eventim, can I use one of the three options?

Yes, but only via our ticket platform. Please do not exchange the tickets directly at Eventim, but use our platform.


I have received my tickets from another source, i.e. not from the official DEICHBRAND ticket shop or from Eventim. Who do I have to contact or how should I proceed?

Unfortunately, we can only process tickets that were purchased through our ticket shop and through Eventim. Please contact the person you received the tickets from directly and make your claims there.


Besides tickets I have also purchased additional camping products (Womo badge, allotment garden, igloo, etc.). Can I convert my order only partially and get a partial refund?

Yes! You can use our ticket platform to make a decision for option 1, 2 or 3 for each product individually. For example, convert 3 combo tickets to 2021, convert 2 tickets to a voucher and choose refund for 2 Womo badges.


Can I also process individual tickets or do I always have to process all tickets from a booking at the same time?

You can select individual tickets and do not necessarily have to process all tickets at once.


How long does it take to process my order?

In times of Covid-19 we can't give you a definite answer here right now, but it should take a maximum of 12 weeks until you have the shirts (option 1) or the voucher (option 2) in your mailbox or the refund on your account (option 3). Therefore we ask you to be patient, we will do our best!


Will I receive new tickets/badges/confirmations for 2021?

If you choose option 1 and convert the relevant products for 2021, you will not receive new tickets or badges, but you will receive a confirmation email. Please also check your spam folder. This saves postage costs on both sides and the environment will thank us 😊! For DEICHBRAND 2021, just take the tickets and badges for this year with you! For option 2 and 3 you have to send the tickets back.


But I want to have a ticket from 2021 as a souvenir! What now?

On request we will give you hard tickets for 2021 at the entrance to DEICHBRAND 2021 for your collection.


I don't have a ticket for 2020, but I would like to get one for 2021. When can I do that and which tickets will be available?

Unfortunately, we can't name a start of advance sales yet, but we expect a quick start of advance sales after the ticket exchange phase for buyers from this year, i.e. after 19.06.2020. Which types of tickets will be available then depends on how many people convert their tickets. Then we can see how many tickets are still available for which categories or if they are already sold out. For all the latest news you can subscribe to our newsletter!


What exactly is the DEICHBRAND AT HOME 2020 shirt?

This unique and exclusive shirt is available at option 1 by mail as a thank you from us per festival ticket on top! We want to bring a little smile to your lips with a colourful and positive souvenir 😊. The shirt is available in two colours, one in white and one in black. The shipping may take a few weeks after the ticket exchange, but we will do our best!


Is the 2020 shirt available per booking or per ticket?

The special thank you is free of charge for each exchanged festival ticket for 2021!


I won my tickets in a raffle, will they be changed to 2021?

If you have won hard tickets, you can exchange them via our ticket platform. If you have won tickets but have not yet received hard tickets, please contact the partner through whom you won the tickets. Together with the partner we will change the ticket to 2021!

I won my tickets in a competition, will they be converted to 2021?

I won my ticket in a raffle, can I get a voucher or cash out the amount?
No, unfortunately this is not possible.


I have booked a hotel room, flight, train or bus ticket for the DEICHBRAND 2020. Can I get the money back?
In this case, please contact the respective provider to clarify the possibilities.


What can I do to support you?

Until when can I have the tickets for DEICHBRAND 2021 reissued, exchange a voucher or choose a refund and how long does it take until the DEICHBRAND AT HOME 2020 shirt arrives at my place?
The ticket platform will be online until June 19th, so you can have your tickets reissued, have a voucher issued or choose a refund. The conversion of the ticket will be done immediately, refund, voucher and 2020 shirt shipping will take some time. What are the advantages of the voucher solution for me and for you?
With the voucher solution, organisers are protected from imminent insolvency by giving them the necessary leeway they need to survive beyond the coronavirus crisis and thus to meet customer demands. You can redeem the voucher until 31.12.2021 and thus also use it for the #deichbrand2022.


Do I really have to send you my original tickets if I want to exchange my tickets for a voucher?
Yes, you do, please and best of all immediately after you have passed through our ticket platform - because at the very end a return receipt will be generated automatically which you simply have to print out. In any case, you should make a copy of the front and back of your tickets for your own safety.


How long do I have to send in the tickets in case I want to exchange them for a voucher?
We recommend that you do this immediately after passing through the ticket platform. The later you provide your details and return the tickets, the more time we need to process them again.


What is the best way to send my original tickets?
We strongly recommend that you send the original tickets by registered mail - we provide a return receipt on the ticket platform. You can of course send the tickets to us without insurance, but then you will be very unlucky if the shipment disappears in the mail. But we do not refund the postage.


What happens with fees and shipping costs?
The advance booking fees you paid when you bought the tickets will be credited if you redeem the voucher. There are no costs and/or fees for exchanging your tickets for a voucher. Only the return shipment of your tickets to us is at your own expense.


For which events can I redeem the voucher?
You can use the voucher for all ticket products and camping options in our DEICHBRAND ticket shop, i.e. also for the DEICHBRAND Festival 2021 and 2022, in the merchandising tent on the festival grounds in 2021 and 2022 and probably also in our DEICHBRAND Merch-Onlineshop. For the latter we still need a little time, but we're working on it!


Can I use the voucher to buy a DEICHBRAND ticket for 2021?
Yes, but the costs for 2021 can be higher in the regular sales contract than in 2020. Furthermore, only with the ticket exchange option 1 you will get the 2020 shirt for free on top!

If I decide on a voucher and use it, for example, for individual, cheaper products from the ticket shop, what happens if there is still money left over? Do I get the remaining money refunded?
Every time you use your voucher to purchase an item whose price is less than the total value of your voucher, we will send you a new voucher with the remaining value and the old voucher will then be invalid. If you purchase an item that exceeds the value of your voucher, you can pay the difference using any of the payment methods we offer.


When does the normal advance sale for DEICHBRAND 2021 start?
As soon as all ticket buyers of the DEICHBRAND 2020 have successfully used the ticket platform, we will start the advance sale for the festival 2021 as soon as possible! To make sure you don't miss it, please sign up for the newsletter!
